Last Thursday I was invited by Revlon & Cosmopolitan to attend the launching of Revlon Colorburst Lip Butter at Poste Kitchen + Bar. The event was full of fashion & beauty bloggers so it was exciting to be able to meet some familiar faces as well as meeting new people !

Well first of all, I can't believe that the most anticipated Revlon Lip Butters are finally here!! After reading the rave reviews and watching all the beauty gurus on Youtube talking about how fabulous the Revlon lip butters are, I can't wait to actually try them now that they here, yayness! I am so thrilled for these lip butters :D

Poste was transformed into a candyland that night, in accordance to the event's theme which is "Candyland Nite". Balloons and pop-up candies in yummy colors were part of the decoration, there was also a photo booth with pop-up clouds, glitters, and lollipops in swirling colors. Every attendees was given a photo voucher that can be redeemed for a photo in the photo booth, but sadly the photo result was too dark. There was also a band playing in the corner and bloggers were set up in tables all across the room.

Anyway, the event was hosted by duo Ary Kirana and Iwet Ramadhan. Ary Kirana seems to be a very famous choice of host for fashion / beauty events lately, from the Guess preview show back in October 2011 to Hermes Mon Ami party. She's really funny ;p

The event started with dinner, and then the Revlon Brand Manager, Ms.Santi Turino went up the stage and introduced us to the Revlon Colorburst Lip Butter. The lip butter is something between a lip balm and a lipstick. It has the super moisturizing feel to it like when you put on a lip balm, but it also has pigmented colors which makes the color more vibrant like a lipstick. I think the lip butters are far better than tinted lip balms because with tinted lip balm the color fades really quickly.

We got to try the lip butters during the event. The Revlon beauty assistant picked this lovely pink shade for me, and I love it! The shade called "Sweet Tart", and I think it's a universal pink that can be worn by most skin tones. I'm also curious with the shade "Tutti Frutti" which is an orange coral shade, I think it's also a color that would look great with most skin tones. Emma Stone, the Revlon face for these Colorburst Lip Butter wore Tutti Frutti on the advertorial and she looked great in it. And I believe the color would also look great on warm skin tones as well.

After the introductory, the hosts Ary Kirana & Iwet called for Dewi Utari (fashion blogger & Harper's Bazaar Indonesia fashion editor) and Nina Nikicio of the famous local brand: Nikicio, to start the Talk Show on the stage. 

We talked about trends and style, and how to incorporate makeup with fashion. Later on, Carissa Putri also joined the stage along with Hendro Revco, the make up artist. Carissa Putri is the brand ambassador of Revlon Indonesia. She looked really gorgeous wearing one of Nikicio dress and Revlon Lip Butter in Strawberry Shortcake.

Hendro Revco talked about how great the Revlon lip butters are, he said the lip butter is like a combination of a lip balm, a lip gloss, and a lipstick, all in one simple product. And he also said that one shade can looks different on different woman, and I think it's true. Carissa, on the other hand, talked about how the lip butter is so essential because of the moisturizing effect, no more dry lips for her.

Right after the talk show, we have some fun games followed by "the best dress" (Ai Ni from My Lovely Sister won it) and some door prize announcement (which I happened to win one of them, yay!). And that's where the event ended.

Before going out the door, each of us bloggers were given a goodie bag full of stuffs: two custom cupcakes, a cotton candy, a lollipop, Hello Magazine, and two assorted lip butters! (yay, i finally get to try one). I got the Berry Smoothie (a pinkish plum) and Strawberry Shortcake (sheer soft pink):

And since the theme was "Candyland Nite" so the dresscode was "Candylicious". So naturally I go through my wardrobe and picked up an item with the most vibrant color which is this bold pink striped dress that my cousin gave me. And because it's a halterneck dress so I covered it up with another colorful striped cardigan from Mango:

 And the simple pastel make up using Stila The Talking Eye Palette (hmm, I should've gone bold on the lipstick):
